1 of the frustrating things in campaign is sometimes if youre not good enough enemies destroying your buildings and monument example: godwall enemies just keep coming if you dont advance fast. i was thinking placing NPCs to each campaign map so they guard the monument and ONLY engage enemy if hes real close. PROBLEM IS i tried this once BUT NPCs seem to get command to clear the map of enemies ( tested on free mode map ) this doesnt happen in fan made maps. is there a way to give some command like patrol or guard to these editor placed NPCS ?

If there is some way, then it's in lua scripts, and I can't decompile them to change it

I dont know if NPCs attack when you place a blockflag on them in the editor but you can place NPCs with ranged weapons on spots surrounded by BLOCKED ground textures or place Towers to protect areas. I like the idea of some white hands at specific points near the paths. It will help you alot and wont steal your kills.
