If all spells have it the same, then it should be possible to give other spells extra damage over time too, right?

Oh, ok.

I played a little with the values of StoneRain LV 20 (4C 00 05 03 14)

In the line 0002C400 I changed 10 00 to 88 13 and 09 00 to 3C 00. The result: the stones only hit in the center of the selected area. I wanted to ask, if you know how to understand the values in that line and how to multiply the amount of stones falling in the area and increasing the damage, to make StoneRain useful.

Ok.

The things I found out were

20 01 - costs of the spell

B8 0B 00 00 - time for preparation

10 27 00 00 - cooldown time

00 00 (-) 0F 00 - minimum range - maximum range

01 04 - the kind of target it hits.

E8 03 - in what intervall the stones fall (in milliseconds) - changing the value to 01 00 makes all the stones fall within 3 seconds, so I have to find the value that describes, how many stones fall.

10 00 00 00 - duration of the spell (how long stones fall)

09 00 00 00 - area where the effect occurs

07 00 00 00 - amount of projectiles

but if everything in ms then 10 00 is 16 ms, it doesn't feel right
maybe E8 03 x 10 00, so 16 times every one second falls 07 00 (min?) - 09 00 (max?) stones

I corrected it. As in the preparation time and the cooldown, there are four digits and not only two.

it's even sicker: I changed the last two values (07 00 / 09 00) to 32 00 and 64 00. I don't know how this is calculated but the rocks now are scattered on a quarter of the map. They are expanded by far from the selected area where the spell was casted.

Also, I changed the 10 00 to 32 00. The effect lasts a little bit longer, but still not 16 sec.

Sometimes, exaggerating a value really helps

EDIT: I changed the 32 00 back to 07 00. is seems that this value calculates the inches where the rocks fall. There was a huge amount of stones falling in the selected area. It seems that the last value 64 00 regulates the amount of stones that fall per second and the 07 00 is the area in which the stones fall.

so then it's min and max range rocks fall I guess

that other min and max range is only for how far ahead you can cast spell maybe
