Spellforce 1 saves editing tutorial

There is a way to edit the savegame version

1. Open the savegame with a hex editor
2. Find something in the first line like:
12 DD 72 DD 03 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 9A 00 00 00
3. Edit it:
12 DD 72 DD 03 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 98 00 00 00
4.
* 9A = 1.54
* 98 = 1.52
* 96 = 1.50

This should make your savegames compatible.

It is super easy, Download HxD hex editor from Cnet,
install, open the save,
and on the very first line, change the 4th value from right, highlighted by me in bold

I kind of suspect that the only thing that differ between v1.52 & v1.54 is the exe file though,
hopefully Rupuz will upload the v1.54.exe

These are v1.54 saves unless otherwise specified,
they are lv 30 with as much un-spent skills & stats as possible,
for tailor-making of whatever you'd want to do with it, as opposed to the pre-defined avatars.

they should be extracted to C:\Documents and Settings\UserXP\My Documents\SpellForce\SAVE
..and then import into SotP.
This is TOoD saves, and they can be opened and switch armor in Greyfell (starting in Blackwater coast when import)
It is also possible to extract to C:\Documents and Settings\UserXP\My Documents\SpellForce\SAVE\CAMPAIGN2 (which is the BoW folder), and import from that campaign, starting in east CoS.
